Full of mystery and charm. Barcelona’s gargoyles can be seen in all their splendour on the gothic monuments of the city. In fact it is hard to find a city where so many gargoyles have been so come up preserved.
and it is most often applied to medieval work although most have grotesque features the term gargoyle has come to consider all types of images. Some gargoyles were depicted as monks combinations of real animals and populate many of which were humorous.
The palaces on carrer Montcada the change street of carrer del Bisbe the Cathedral and the Monestir de Pedralbes provide some of the beat examples of this form of architectural ornamentation which also a feature of modernista buildings such as the Hospital de Sant Pau.
