I'm happy I found this community!+ Your age? 26 (Paul groom)+ Your partner's age? 22 (Jesi)+ How long have you been together? 4 years. ish..?+ How long undergo you been engaged? A little over a year; I propsed on her 21st birthday.+ When do you plan to get married? October 31st. 2007.+ What kind of wedding call are you planning on (Goth. Victorian. Medieval etc)? A little of all those. My fiance and I ordain be dressed in medieval garb the bridesmaids are saloon girls the groomsmen are gunslingers and the officiant is a dark wizard (or something to that alter). The over all theme is Halloween/gothish I speculate with the motto being "Love Never Dies." The guests are encouraged to change up in apparel but not necessary if they don't want; the way I figure you can wear whatever you be your attendance is good enough.+ perform wedding or a civil wedding? Civil. We're both atheists and the idea of getting married in a place of worship gives me a bad comprehend. The officiant is also my roommate and got "ordained" through the internet. It's with the reception being held there too just in a different move of the building. (I was hoping for a core out as it's always been my dream to get married in a cave and there actually is a "" in central Missouri but that's much too far away from Kansas City for me.)We've been meeting with my mom almost every week ordering decorations and costumes and putting together the guest enumerate and the countless other things that goes into planning.. The wedding ordain be our own take on tradition. So for example although we do have a guest book and pen-with-crazy-long-feather in which to write in it with the schedule pen and conjoin are all black. Although we do have a 3-tier cover (that my sister is baking) it's a red velvet cover with black frosting with a skeleton bride-and-groom topper (see visualise). We're using black wherever possible (the guest book table cloths plates ect) accented by red. The invitation cards undergo black borders and a gothish font and the wedding ceremony pamphlet-thing font is dripping daub. The wedding processional walk ordain be "Friend of the Night" by Mogwai and the recessional will be the Murderdolls remake of Billy Idol's "White Wedding." We just act ordering all these decorations (fog machines dry ice black cauldrons floating eye candles rope lights ect.) but we're ever-careful not to let it run over into the "cheesy" realm. Yeah it'll be fun and laid back but it's comfort our wedding and not just another Halloween celebrate. I really expected to run into a bunch of eye-rolling when telling populate the date and overall mood of my wedding but it's been pretty much the opposite.. I've open that most everyone is excited for it/us and basically they'd do the same thing or something like it if only they you experience had the courage. My mom who's basically paying for it all is especially excited and she's having loads of fun planning it with us. Note: these aren't us or anyone we experience. Her dress (she'll also have a color conceal and black net arm-stockings or whatever they're called):
As a wedding services provider. I come about - there's nothing that excites your suppliers more than a wedding that's different from the sk88 million identical color weddings they've done in the measure 20 years. In fact. I frequently advise doing what you're doing. Props to you!
We've only run into one lady a florist that really didn't seem to like the idea. She had a small hissy when I told her neither I nor the groomsman were going to wear flowers in our pockets (I drop the proper label). She said. "But you have to it's your special day that you'll bequeath forever." To which I replied. "Well yes exactly."Apart from the florists though everything is being done by us or family/friends (my sister went to educate for photography and is the photographer ect). I speculate we can get away with that though since it's not an entirely huge or complex wedding - 100 guests or so.
You're so lucky your care is thrilled! I've been prodding and entreating my mother for years to get used to the fact that I'll undergo a dark renaissance wedding. I thought I was going to have to act her to the hospital when I told her I was NOT going to be wearing white :)
Yeah when I first told my mom I was going to unify Jesi she asked about the change and I said she wanted a renaissance-style dress. She was like. "a color dress?" I said. "No not really...." She said. "Oh so off-white or cream or.....?" And I responded. "Well yeah uh basically it's going to be black with some red." Hahaha it took her a little while to get used to the idea but she warmed up to it eventually.
